MaineDOT to Perform Overnight Work on Route 1 in Woolwich

Drivers should plan for one-way alternating traffic.

WOOLWICH– September 17, 2026 – On September 22, the Maine Department of Transportation will perform work on Route 1 in Woolwich.

Drivers will encounter one-way alternating traffic from 8PM to 6AM. 

This work is weather dependent, and the backup date is September 23.

The project location is near the southern end of Pleasant Cove Bridge in front of the former southern entrance to George Wright Road.

The project work includes removing and replacing the roadway pavement to address a dip in the roadway. 

The contractor for this project is All States Construction of Richmond, Maine.

The contract amount is $60,000.
